Katherine E. Nash Gallery at the University of Minnesota

The Katherine E. Nash Gallery, located at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, is a research laboratory for the practice and interpretation of the visual arts. We believe the visual arts have the capacity to interpret, critique and expand on all of human experience. Our engagement with the visual arts helps us to discover who we are and understand our relationships to each other and society. The Katherine E. Nash Gallery aspires to be a center of discourse on the practice of visual art and its relationship to culture and community—a place where we examine our assumptions about the past and suggest possibilities for the future. We work in collaboration with the students, faculty, and staff in the Department of Art and all academic departments and intellectual centers at the University of Minnesota. Our collaborations embrace diversity in all its forms and extend beyond the University of Minnesota to include local, regional, national and international communities. The Katherine E. Nash Gallery is committed to ensuring that the arts thrive in Minnesota. From exhibition planning to public programs to educational activities, we strive for excellence and experimentation while expanding the discourse in our field.
