M-Museum Leuven

M was inaugurated in 2009 in a new building designed by Belgian architect Stéphane Beel, and aims to integrate the past, present and future in a comprehensive approach to visual art and visual culture. M is a dynamic art institution combining a historical collection with a varied exhibition programme of ancient and contemporary art. M is a place for presentation, research, creation, encounter, reflection and co-operation, and aims to be locally integrated while also developing a national and international profile.

Central to contemporary art in M is a strong commitment to the work of artists. M’s contemporary art offering focuses on solo exhibitions by both emerging and established artists from Belgium and abroad. Recent exhibitions include Yto Barrada, Mary Reid Kelley, Aglaia Konrad, Guy de Cointet, Peter Buggenhout, Markus Schinwald, Sarah Morris, Patrick Van Caeckenbergh, Mika Rottenberg, Sol LeWitt and others.
