Students from the Department of Fine Arts at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK) have created images, objects and installations that illustrate in their individuality that Attitude can be manifested in very different ways. Attitude resonates with personal stories of queerness and body images, is related to anarcho-punk and postmodernism. Attitude works against online loneliness in times of digitality and hyperrepresentation. It is connected to childhood, idealization, and the building of protective and coping mechanisms. And much more.

Although—or precisely because—Attitude has no price tag, the artistic processes end with an exhibition and auction of the works in the Kaskadenhalle of ZHdK’s Toni-Areal. The artworks will be auctioned by the ZHdK Fondation. Half of the profits will go to the artists and the other half will be donated to the Solidarity Fund. The fund will be used to support Ukrainian and Russian students as well as refugees who are enrolled at the ZHdK. The exhibition and auction are part of the framework of ZHdK’s annual report on the theme of “Attitude”.

With works by Alexeï Monney, Alina Kopytsia, Angelos Merges, Cordula Schieri, Floyd Bolliger, Jason Rohr, Kilian Schoenenberger, Luca Süss, Naiwen Chou, Niki Yelim, Noah Kohlbrenner, Ronja Svaneborg, Ruba Badwan, Steen Sperling and Zhaoyue Fan.
