Call for graduate applications

Cranbrook Academy of Art is a dynamic community of architects, artists and designers working together to shape the future of visual and material culture. For 88 years, the Academy has been one of the nation’s most distinctive and celebrated graduate-only schools of transformative art and design. It is a place for students who are looking to graduate from their MFA or M.Arch program prepared to immediately enter the industry, launch an academic career, or open their own studio practice. 

Applications are now being accepted for the fall of 2021. This year, there are five full-tuition fellowships available, with priority given to students who contribute to the Academy’s goal of increasing diversity. Priority will be given to applications received by January 15. Applications accepted through February 1, 2021. 

To showcase all the Academy has to offer, we are launching a full season of webinars highlighting each of the 11 departments. Each webinar will include conversations about what it is like to study at Cranbrook delivered by each Artist-in-Residence and select alumni. This is a perfect opportunity to take a look behind the curtain at one of the few remaining true artistic communities in the country.
