Hauser & Wirth Institute, a 501(c)(3) private operating foundation dedicated to art historical scholarship and to the preservation and accessibility of artists’ archives, is currently accepting applications for their 2020 Fellowship Program.

Hauser & Wirth Institute provides generous research grants for predoctoral and senior scholars. These archives-based fellowships promote meaningful, field-enriching research by established art historians and curators, and foster a new generation of scholars. All applicants with a strong art history background are encouraged to apply. The program is open to students and researchers in art history and corresponding fields, regardless of citizenship.

Senior Scholar and Predoctoral applications will be reviewed by the Institute’s Fellowship Committee, which will consider: the feasibility of the research project and its depth of engagement with archival materials; the applicant’s proven capacity to produce significant research; and the applicant’s demonstrated ability to convey significant concepts in clear, intelligible prose.

The application window will close March 9, 2020. Recipients will be notified in early April 2020.  Material must be submitted via Slideroom, at hauserwirthinstitute.slideroom.com. An application fee of 5 USD applies.
