Spend your summer developing your own creative point of view at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC).

We invite both emerging and established artists to join fellow thinkers and makers from around the country for an exciting and immersive art-making experience, Monday–Friday from 9am–4pm, through an Adult Continuing Education (ACE) Summer Intensive course. Two one-week sessions are offered from July 30–August 3 and August 6–10.

Outside the studio, we have planned a variety of inspiration-generating activities including: open studios, a casting workshop, and a sketching excursion to Millennium Park. Course tuition is 685 USD with optional campus housing available for 430 USD a week.

Chicago—our urban campus
Woven into the fabric of vibrant downtown Chicago, SAIC’s campus is your ideal home base, a city of architecture, innovative public art, and world-class museums and galleries. Chicago in the summer is simply extraordinary: bike along the lakefront, check out a free concert in Millennium Park, and attend summer festivals happening alongside our one-week intensive sessions.
