Drawings by Rembrandt and His Pupils: Telling the DifferenceSymposium speakers and contributors comprise many of the top Rembrandt experts from around the world, including Holm Bevers, senior curator of Netherlandish Prints, Drawings, and Manuscripts at the Kupferstichkabinett, Museen zu Berlin; Egbert Haverkamp-Begemann, John Langeloth Loeb Professor Emeritus of the History of Art, Institute of Fine Arts, New York University, New York; Jan Leja, research curator, private collection, New York; William W. Robinson, Maida and George Abrams Curator of Drawings, Fogg Art Museum, Harvard University Art Museums, Cambridge; Martin Royalton-Kisch, senior curator, Department of Prints and Drawings, the British Museum, London; Gregory Rubinstein, worldwide head of Old Master Drawings, Sotheby’s; and Peter Schatborn, emeritus head of the Rijksprentenkabinet, Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam. The symposium will be moderated by Lee Hendrix, senior curator of Drawings at the J. Paul Getty Museum and co-curator of the exhibition.
The symposium is open to the public, but reservations are required. To register, call (310) 440-7300 by January 8, 2010. Space is limited and there are no refunds or cancellations. Parking at the Getty Center will be waived for all conference participants.

The Getty Center is open Tuesday through Friday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. It is closed Monday and major holidays. Admission to the Getty Center is always free. No reservation is required for parking or general admission. Reservations are required for event seating and groups of 15 or more.
