MA in Art Education

The MFA in Studio Art allows experienced artists, teachers, and other art professionals to develop a professional body of work, a unique personal voice, and an expanded understanding of contemporary art through independent studio practice. Spread over three years plus one summer, the program’s areas of concentration include painting, mixed media, sculpture/installation, and photo/digital media.

In the most innovative business program in the country, students in the Master of Professional Studies in the Business of Art and Design gain the skills to start, grow, and sustain an arts related business or to excel in a company by combining creative expertise with business knowledge. Through a combination of online instruction and brief residencies at MICA, students gain a grounding in the key functional areas of business management, including accounting, finance, marketing, and more.
