We are seeking to fill two faculty appointments, Assistant Professor of Design, Specializing in Interaction/Web Design and Assistant Professor of Art: Photography.

Assistant Professor of Design – Specializing in Interaction/Web Design
The Visual Arts Department seeks an accomplished interaction designer specializing in dynamic, screen-based formats. Responsibilities include: teaching web and interaction design to undergraduates, developing the Design curriculum, serving on departmental and university committees, and continuing professional activity and/or scholarly research.

Qualifications:
• MFA in Design or equivalent
• Minimum of three years teaching experience of interaction, web, experience, and motion design and related programming at the college level
• Demonstrated grounding in formal design principles, design processes and creative problem solving; knowledge of web/interactive industry; expertise in creative programming
• Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of critical theory as it pertains to web design and interactivity
• Professional recognition, such as publication and awards, for web/interactive work

Assistant Professor of Art: Photography

Responsibilities include teaching studio practice and critical seminars to all levels of undergraduate and graduate photography students; assisting in the recruitment of photography graduate students; mentoring graduate teaching assistants; departmental and university committee service; continuing professional artistic activity or scholarly research or both.

Qualifications:
MFA in Art or equivalent
National and international profile
Minimum three years teaching experience in photography (at the university level)
Demonstrated technical grounding in the full compliment of film and digital photography.

Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary art theory and history of photography
Professional recognition such as awards, grants, discipline-specific bibliographic citations
