The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum is pleased to present two programs in conjunction with Asian Contemporary Art Week.

Asian Contemporary Art Week (March 21–31, 2011) connects leading New York City museums and galleries in a citywide event comprised of public programs such as exhibitions, receptions, lectures, and performances. The week focuses on the broad spectrum of artworks produced by Asian contemporary artists working in their home countries and abroad. Visit acaw.net for more information.

Dialogues in Asian Contemporary Art: International Biennials
Friday, March 25 @ 6:30 pm

Joe Martin Hill, researcher and Ph.D. candidate at the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University, moderates a conversation with Guggenheim Abu Dhabi Project Curator and cocurator of Sharjah Biennial 10, Suzanne Cotter; New Museum of Contemporary Art and Gwanju Biennale 2010 curator Massimiliano Gioni; and David Elliott, Sydney Biennale 2010 artistic director, who discuss artists and curatorial processes in recent international biennials.

Liu Xiaodong in Conversation
Tuesday, March 29 @ 6:30 pm

A screening of the new Liu Xiaodong documentary film by famed Taiwanese director Hou Hsiao-Hsien, followed by a conversation with the artist and Guggenheim Samsung Senior Curator of Asian Art, Alexandra Munroe. Cosponsored by Mary Boone Gallery.
