ACR346) The Department of Art History and Theory at Essex is changing: as part of the plan to create a new School of Philosophy and Art History in partnership with the Department of Philosophy at Essex, it is offering the opportunity to join the teaching and research team for three years starting this September.

 

We are looking for someone to contribute to the work of the Centre for Curatorial Studies and with specific expertise in contemporary Latin American art. Candidates should ideally have a PhD, and will certainly have a record of research activity that might include journal publications or high-level work as an exhibition curator. Experience of teaching in a higher education environment is required and the ability to contribute to teaching in the area of curatorial studies is essential, as is expertise in contemporary Latin American art. A working of knowledge of Spanish and/or Portuguese is also a requirement. The postholder will be expected to carry out a range of teaching, research and administrative duties, and contribute to the research mission of the School.

 

Salary: 36,862GBP – 44,016 GBP per annum
