Once a year the Staedelschule, one of the world’s leading art academies, opens its doors to the public. For three days the art students display their current works in their studios. Video artists and filmmakers show their recent productions in a special screening program.
The Rundgang has become one of the most popular art events in Frankfurt. In 2011, more than 13,000 visitors took the opportunity to get to know the Staedelschule, its professors and students. In 2012 around 180 students from the classes of Douglas Gordon, Judith Hopf, Michael Krebber, Christa Naeher, Tobias Rehberger, Willem de Rooij, Simon Starling, and Ben van Berkel exhibit their works in the recently renovated Staedelschule.
