The San Francisco Art Institute is currently accepting applications for the Low-Residency Master of Fine Arts and Low-Residency Master of Arts programs for Summer 2012. These flexible programs are ideal for working artists who wish to develop their practice, earn a master’s degree, and enhance teaching and career opportunities without sacrificing a professional commitment. SFAI’s Low-Residency Graduate Programs—completed over three or four years—pair intensive eight-week summer sessions with independent work in the student’s home community. The on-campus Summer 2012 session runs June 18–August 10. Housing and Financial Aid are still available.

Our Philosophy

Each Low-Residency MFA student receives an individual studio at SFAI’s Graduate Center. SFAI also offers summer housing, making for an easy transition to San Francisco.
