Minneapolis College of Art and Design MFA Thesis Exhibition to be held in Arts District Landmark

Minneapolis College of Art and Design

Art and design school meets community when the Minneapolis College of Art and Design and the Northrup King Building team up to present thesis work by graduating MFA students. The exhibition will feature work by eighteen artists and designers from of a wide variety of disciplines, including information graphics, painting, comics, animation, illustration, sculpture, projection, community art, and graphic design. Whether in contemporary regional painting or database-driven information systems, MCAD’s 2012 MFA Exhibition is a showcase for new ideas and compelling visual structures.

About the MCAD MFA program
The Minneapolis College of Art and Design’s MFA is a mentor-based learning environment in which each student works with a single faculty member for two years. This continuous conversation, supplemented by seminars and visiting artists, supports MFA candidates as they construct a self-sustaining practice based in research, analysis, and production.
