Millard Meiss Publication FundWyeth Foundation for American Art Publication Grant

The Wyeth grant applies to books on the history of American art, here defined as art created in the United States, Canada, and Mexico prior to 1970. There are no geographic or chronological limitations for books eligible for Meiss awards. The publisher, rather than the author, must submit the application to one or both funds, though only one award can be given per title. Both programs have a deadline of October 1, 2012. CAA will announce the recipients of the Meiss and Wyeth grants in early December 2012.

If you have a book in the works, or know someone who does, review the application guidelines, materials, and list of previous grantees on the CAA website.
