The Siena Art Institute offers an exceptional study-abroad opportunity for undergraduate and post-baccalaureate students pursing their studies in visual arts and creative writing. The Siena Art Institute, based in the historic center of Siena, Italy, offers a semester-abroad program with courses including Painting, Photography, Art History, Creative Writing, Digital Multimedia and Installation, Italian Language and more.  Students benefit from the opportunity to develop their artistic experience in a focused working environment, receiving one-on-one feedback from faculty and our rich roster of visiting artists/writers – as well being able to take electives from the Siena Art Institute curriculum to hone their existing skills or explore new ones.

Full and half-tuition scholarships are available for the semester.

Application Deadline for Spring 2014 Semester Program: November 1, 2013.

Spring 2014 Semester Program Dates: January 22–May 18, 2014

Spring 2014 Resident artists, Maelee Lee, Máximo González, Diana Al-Hadid, Mequitta Ahuja, and Sue Hubbard, will each be in residence during this semester to mentor students and pursue on their own independent projects.

The Siena Art Institute’s Summer Residency Program awards accomplished professional artists & writers the opportunity to stay for a month with studio space and uninterrupted time to pursue their own independent projects, as well as the opportunity to explore the area of Siena, and interact with the local community.
