The annual student scholarship exhibition presents the works of 130 young talents in Art (painting, sculpture, multimedia, etc.), Art-object (wood, metal, ceramics, bookmaking, jewelry and glass), Graphic Communication, Illustration, Information Design, Design, Textile Design and Scenography. Musicians studying at the HEAR will perform a series of concerts during the event.
Opening events will start Friday, June 26 at 6pm—free and open to the public.
The Haute école des arts du Rhin, in Strasbourg and Mulhouse, offers a high-quality education providing students with combined access to theory and practice and conferring national diplomas and Master’s degrees. Besides the exhibition, Strasbourg proposes events all throughout the weekend showing student and graduate’s projects and art works.

A collective of 12 students in their final year at the HEAR in Scenography will present the Scenopolis festival, variation on scenography practices and possibilities, in the form of singular atmospheres to experience. The public is invited to participate in a carnivalesque procession, to float through soundscapes, to sit around a table for a mechanical meal, and to wander through a forest of moving images…

Cinéma Star Saint-Exupéry, Strasbourg
From experimental to animation, documentary to fiction, a special focus will be made on filmmaking. This year the Cinéma Star and the HEAR have decided to join forces to offer viewers an entire evening of video screenings created by young HEAR graduates.

Students at the HEAR Music Department will perform a series of concerts during events throughout the weekend: Opening concert by the Dixtuor of the Académie supérieure de musique de Strasbourg (Couperin, Janáček, Koetsier, Parker, Bissill), sonatas for two cellos (Vivaldi, Boccherini, Barrière), wind quintet (Vivaldi, Bach), accordion and tango (Bach, Angelis, Zolotarev), contemporary improvisations (Piazzolla), south American music (Herrerias, Decruck, Guastavino, Piazzolla), improvisations and jazz standards.
The Haute école des arts du Rhin (HEAR)
The HEAR is a French public institution of excellence, offering a post-secondary curriculum in the Arts. The HEAR provides numerous specialised study programs in art and in music: contemporary art, graphic communication, illustration, design, scenography, painting, sculpture, object (glass, ceramics, books, jewelry), musical interpretation, composition and more. The HEAR gathers over 750 students on three specific sites in Strasbourg and Mulhouse, and confers national diplomas and Master’s degrees. With its unique history and geography together with a team of 160 teachers, the HEAR provides an original model of art teaching favouring pluridisciplinarity, individual and collective commitment. The HEAR works in partnership with over 80 other international art schools.
