Examples of Duties:

1. Teach beginning, intermediate, and advanced sculpture courses.

2. Instruct, demonstrate, and test students in the safe and proper use of all equipment available in the studios.

3. Maintain the power and hand equipment in both sculpture studios to safe operating standards.

4. Conduct lectures and demonstrations as necessary to instruct students in the technology, processes, methods, historical evolution, and contemporary directions of sculpture.

5. Give and grade appropriate assignments in accordance with the class outline.

6. Order and manage supplies and equipment available for student use in both sculpture studios. This includes follow up procedures and contacting CCSF purchasing and merchants as necessary.

7. Maintain appropriate records both in accordance with the needs of the sculpture program, the art department, and the College in general.

8. Supervise lab assistants.

9. Supervise and maintain health and safety standards

10. Teach in the day, evening, and/or Saturday programs at any of the College’s campuses or sites as required.

11. Participate actively on various Art Department and College-wide committees as needed.

12. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
