As part of its new public program series, New York-based Pratt Institute, a global leader in higher education, will partner with LG Electronics USA and Surface magazine to produce an exhibition featuring digital artwork by Pratt students and recent graduates curated by Peter Patchen, Chair of Pratt’s Department of Digital Arts. The imaging, interactive, and time-based works will be displayed on LG’s Ultra HD 4K and OLED TV screens. The exhibition will be on view December 4 through 6 at the new Miami Beach Edition Hotel during Art Basel Miami Beach.

Select pieces in the exhibition were created for LG’s nationwide competition earlier this year titled “The Art of the Pixel,” which challenged college and university students from across the country to create new digital artwork. One of the student participants, Joseph Bui, was the second-place winner in the competition and his work will be featured among others in the exhibition at Art Basel Miami Beach.
