RISD’s commitment to supporting the professional development of teachers can be traced as far back as 1890, when teachers could enroll in the Saturday Normal Art Course for Teachers. RISD continues to provide educators with opportunities to advance their creative and teaching practice. Whether you are interested in exploring the intersection of art, design and science or are seeking the opportunity to expand or renew your studio practice within the context of experimentation and discovery, the RISD Educators’ Institute is for you.
