New York's Center for Curatorial Leadership Announces 2019 Fellows

NEW YORK—The Center for Curatorial Leadership (CCL) in New York has named twelve curators as the recipients of its 2019 fellowships. Chosen from a dozen museums across the United States, the cohort will participate in three weeks of in-session instruction, have residencies with museum directors, and work to develop a Diversity Mentoring Initiative at their home institutions and will convene from January through May 2019.

Among the 2019 fellows are Ryan N. Dennis, the curator & programs director at Project Row Houses in Texas who recently organized “Black Women Artists for Black Lives Matter at Project Row Houses;” René Morales, the Pérez Art Museum, Miami, curator who has spearheaded new acquisitions and exhibitions of Latin American modernism and contemporary art; and photographer Endia Beal, the director of the Diggs Gallery at Winston-Salem State University who has recently mounted exhibitions around race and representation.
