Les Ateliers de Rennes

In 2006, the food-processing corporation Norac created the Art Norac Association, which launched the project for the biennale—first held in 2008—with the goal of building a bridge between the company’s work and the work of artists. Les Ateliers de Rennes, the first biennale to focus on the relationships between art and the economy, has opened a vast field of exploration of crucial issues of the day—work, value, and foresight—rich with challenges, questions and possibilities for creation.

It is also the occasion for researchers and intellectuals to analyze the challenges presented, serving as a sounding board for the works of art. Les Ateliers de Rennes enables the sharing of knowledge and experience between artistic, economic and business practices.
