Daniel Kurth: I live in the interstice, delivered from any fulfilled meaning

Corona Kino

A silent observer travels through Honshu, Japan, visiting two radically different places. The volcanic area around Ozorezan is one of the most sacred places in Japan. According to written tradition, it is the gateway from this life to the afterlife. In strange correspondence with it is Taiyo Park, a site where some of the world’s most famous buildings have been recreated for domestic tourism. In the video, two very different worlds come together, mythology meets myth, and the spiritual mixes with the ghostly.

Daniel Kurth, I live in the interstice, delivered from any fulfilled meaning, 2020. Full HD video, color, and sound, 18 mins 4 secs.
