This series of seminars has been created to complement the research undertaken in the degree programs of the European Graduate School.  In ten weeks, participants review the thinking of major contributors to contemporary critical thought with distinguished writers and theorists.

These seminars are designed to give participants a fresh and informed take on the texts addressed at a level that allows them to work with these essential references in contemporary debate.  They will serve participants with limited familiarity with the works of the authors considered, as well as those who have considerable experience with them.  The special strengths of the seminar leaders will make this unique form of “introduction” possible.  Past seminars on authors such as Lacan, Hegel, Marx, Derrida and Deleuze have proven immensely successful in this respect.
