A new academic year has begun at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, and so has its fall calendar of events and exhibitions open to the general public.

This year marks the return of SVA’s Masters Series Award and Exhibition, honoring the great visual communicators of our time, with a retrospective of the career of Pulitzer Prize-winning photojournalist Lynsey Addario. Other notable fall SVA events include talks hosted by various programs and film festivals presented by MFA Social Documentary Film and the SVA Theatre.

SVA’s COVID-19 policies remain in effect, and all campus visitors must show proof of vaccination upon entry and remain masked while indoors. Currently, exhibitions in the SVA Flatiron and SVA Gramercy galleries may be attended by the public only during receptions, and guests must register online in advance. Exhibitions at the SVA Chelsea Gallery are open to the public.
