The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) celebrates the talented SAIC students completing their Master of Arts and Master of Science graduate degrees with a variety of symposia events showcasing student work. This spring, graduate symposia events will take place online. Please visit saic.edu/shows for the full list of SAIC Shows, including in-person and online undergraduate and graduate exhibitions and events.

April 17
Just a Container
The Department of Visual and Critical Studies presents a virtual symposium featuring Master of Art in Visual and Critical Studies candidates.

April 21
Master of Science in Historic Preservation Thesis Symposium
Five finalists for the Master of Science in Historic Preservation will present their thesis work.

May 5–6
Art History Master of Arts Symposium
This two-day virtual symposium will present Master of Arts thesis projects in art history, featuring a range of topics in modern and contemporary art history. Art History, Theory, and Criticism faculty will respond and discuss the presented papers.

May 11–12
Culminating Event Panels: Master of Arts in Art Education and Master of Arts in Teaching
Thesis project presentations organized into four thematic panels: Exploring Narratives in the Conscious and Subconscious, Thriving Resistances, Museums for the Future, and Who Says You Can’t Make History?, plus a virtual reception.

May 14
Beyond Bounds: Arts Administration Symposium vol. 1.
The Department of Arts Administration and Policy presents a virtual symposium featuring thesis works from graduating Master of Arts candidates.

May 16
Master of Arts in New Arts Journalism Symposium
A virtual symposium featuring Master of Arts in New Arts Journalism candidates.
