To artists/practitioners/researchers working in the field of theatre and choreography: DAS Theatre and DAS Choreography announce the application deadline for the 2021–23 master programmes (MA).

Studying at DAS Theatre
DAS Theatre is a full-time, two-year residential Master of Art programme in the form of a creative laboratory for international professionals in the field of theatre. As a postgraduate school, DAS Theatre focuses on knowledge generation rather than knowledge transmission. While reinforcing the connections between arts education, research and production, DAS Theatre’s core values revolve around making space for art, including forms that we do not yet know. Do you think your work would benefit from new input, unexpected artistic encounters and intense peer-to-peer exchanges? DAS Theatre supports your artistic and professional development with an international environment, a broad network, a home, and a working space.

DAS Theatre Artistic Director: Silvia Bottiroli
DAS Theatre Tutors: Miguel Angel Melgares, Edit Kaldor, Andrea Božić, Marjorie Boston, Lara Staal

Studying at DAS Choreography
Artists who have established a professional practice and are seeking possibilities for further reflection and development can increase their research skills at DAS Choreography. The individual artistic practice is the point of departure and will be the guiding thread of the course design. This non-residential programme comprised of seminars, residencies and individual mentoring facilitates the development of an intensive and sustained dialogue. In the words of graduates, it offers a place to “slow down the chaos,” “allow for being overwhelmed and not knowing,” and “allow time for insisting on one thing.” In short, it offers space for creating conditions for deepening artistic practices.

DAS Choreography Artistic Director: Jeroen Fabius
DAS Choreography Tutors: Sher Doruff, Konstantina Georgelou, Alice Chauchat

Admission procedure
The admission procedure, admission requirements and application deadlines differ per master programme. If you are interested in applying, please click here to apply for DAS Theatre or here to apply for DAS Choreography. The application deadline is November 12, 2020 for both master programmes.
