Master of Letters in Fine Art Practice
The M.Litt in Fine Art Practice is an intensive 12-month studio taught programme with six specialist pathways: Painting, Photography and the Moving Image, Print Media, Drawing, Sculpture and Performance. The programme is studio-based and centred on practice, and is intended to provide opportunities for students to pursue in-depth subject specific study in fine art practice at postgraduate level.
The programme encompasses both the realisation of ideas through historical methodologies and processes and the engagement with the expanded field. Students have access to excellent workshop facilities and studio space and are very much part of the wider Fine Art community within the city.

Master of Letters in Curatorial Practice (Contemporary Art)
This twelve-month MLitt programme, jointly run by The Glasgow School of Art and the University of Glasgow, is embedded within the city, drawing on its community of artists, gallery professionals, institutions and international connections. Taught by dedicated staff and guest faculty, including curators and artists, the programme strikes a balance between discourse and practice. Working in different contexts, including a dedicated studio space at the heart of the School of Fine Art, participants develop their individual interests, hone their thinking and acquire practical professional skills whilst initiating and producing real exhibitions, projects and events.

Masters of Letters Art Writing
A one-year interdisciplinary and studio-led programme offering students the opportunity to develop expansive and innovative modes of writing about, with and as art.
With emphasis on critical practice- based enquiry, this programme reflects the development of alternative forms of critical and theoretical writing and the relationship between writing and artistic practice. Students will work closely with external cultural organisations in the city to bring new work to a public audience or readership. The programme offers full and part-time study routes, with an M.Lutt gained after one or two years.

Master of Fine Art programme
This internationally recognized programme of study offers students from around the world an extraordinary opportunity to analyse their studio practice in depth, and to modify, develop and secure it accordingly. Established in 1989 the MFA has developed and maintained a reputation for producing artists and art world professionals who operate at the highest levels. Whilst studio practice lies at the heart of the curriculum, students also engage with a range of additional disciplines and pursuits that allow them to reflect upon the wider cultural, historical and intellectual contexts of their work. Students are also eligible to apply for an Elective course in Fine Art Studio Teaching.
