MA in Critical and Curatorial Studies in Contemporary Arts was opened in 2016; a two-year, English-taught program, emphasis on both “critic” and “curating,” providing international students an opportunity to be familiar with discourses in contemporary art from various vantage points of the globe. Our program’s all-encompassing approach ensures that after completion, students are well equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills for job opportunities around the world.

The five modules in the course: art history, art criticism, exhibition curating, museum studies and creative industry are designed to give students a comprehensive, integrated understanding of contemporary art, with a special focus on the contemporary art development in the Asia Pacific region. In addition to the main courses, CCSCA also hosts series of lectures, workshops and international exchanges, which have been held for nearly 20 events in 2016-2017.
