Enjoy a week of free programming at the Nasher for the whole family. Investigate big ideas in Pierre Huyghe’s work through tours, games, stories, and hands-on projects. Participate in scavenger hunts, drop-in art-making, and gallery chats (Tuesday–Friday), and pick up print resources for families and adults. Free admission.

Nasher Prize Dialogues: The Public Place of Sculpture
Museo Jumex, Mexico City
This program in Mexico City will be focused on socially engaged sculpture in various modes, from social practice outright to objects that employ with themes of monument and document. The panel will include Mexican artist Pedro Reyes and Argentinian artist Amalia Pica, and American artist Sanford Biggers. It will be moderated by Nasher Prize juror Pablo León de la Barra.

Student-Centered Festival
Nasher Sculpture Center
Students from around the world are invited to submit artistic work inspired by Pierre Huyghe for publication in a limited-run ‘zine. To celebrate the launch of this project, the Nasher will host a festival offering students ages 14 to 22 the opportunity to see works by Pierre Huyghe as well as collaborate with artists and present their own original work. Free with RSVP

Nasher Prize Dialogues: Graduate Symposium
Nasher Sculpture Center
Offering students a chance to use Pierre Huyghe’s oeuvre as inspiration for their own scholarly and creative work, the Nasher’s first-ever graduate symposium will include presentations by students from Berlin, Leeds, London, Melbourne, and San Diego. The symposium will be moderated by Pavel Pyś, Curator of Visual Art at the Walker Art Center. The keynote presentation will be given by French art historian Nicolas Bourriaud at 3pm. Free with RSVP

Nasher Sculpture Center
Members of the 2017 Nasher Prize jury along with the Nasher’s Chief Curator, Jed Morse, describe the process leading up to the selection of Pierre Huyghe and what made him stand out as this year’s laureate. Moderated by Dallas Museum of Art’s Hoffman Family Senior Curator of Contemporary Art, Gavin Delahunty.  Participating 2017 Nasher Prize Jurors include Lynne Cooke, Senior Curator, National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C.; Okwui Enwezor, Director, Haus Der Kunst, Germany; and Steven Nash, Founding Director, Nasher Sculpture Center and Director Emeritus, Palm Springs Art Museum. Free with RSVP
