Purchase College is SUNY’s foremost arts campus, located just 30 minutes from New York City. Our unique program of first-year seminars introduces students to some of the most important artists, curators and critics working today. Recent speakers have included: Chrissie Iles, curator, Whitney Museum of American Art; Bruce Hainley, art critic; Ann Gibson and Jonathan Weinberg, art historians; and artists Michael Ashkin, Paul Chan, Glenn Ligon, Dana Schutz, Robert Whitman, and Fred Wilson.
