We wish to appoint a Deputy Head of Department to work with Professor Mark Nash in delivering the renowned MA Curating Contemporary Art. The department is reviewing the current state of curatorial education and the successful applicant could be involved in the design and implementation of new postgraduate courses in the area.

The department offers MPhil and PhD programmes that are both practice and theory led. It is actively developing its research culture and is also seeking to expand its public and professional engagement in contemporary art and curating.

We are proposing to appoint a full-time position but are open to proposals for a part-time engagement especially from those actively engaged in professional curatorial and/or art practice.

Enthusiasm and ability to work collaboratively with a small staff team is essential.
