About the identity of the human being and of our country, balance and observation, infernal machines and virtual systems, the alchemy of material and textile in motion, open doors and hermetic forms and the creation of design.
Design Academy Eindhoven organises once more its annual graduation exhibition. This time it will be an extraordinary extensive presentation: more than 150 graduated designers will show their unique, self-willed and innovative designs to the public for the first time. The master students will display their work in a special gallery within the academy and in addition the exhibition will feature recent work of internationally acclaimed alumni such as Hella Jongerius, Job Smeets, Tejo Remy, Jurgen Bey, Richard Hutten, Axel Enthoven, Maarten Baas, Joris Laarman and many more. Covering 5000 m2 of its premises and presenting the work of both graduates, alumni and teachers, Graduation Galleries 2006 will give the first complete image of Design Academy Eindhoven.
Come and have a look at the source of Dutch Design and be surprised by creativity, innovation and beauty. A sea of inspiration to be discovered.
Design Academy Eindhoven, founded in 1947 as Academie voor Industriële Vormgeving Eindhoven, is world-wide the only independent School of Higher Vocational Education which is completely specialised in design. The Academy trains students into experts in the field of industrial design, interior design, design of public space, graphic design, multimedia design, as well as theatre design, trend forecast and textile design. Design Academy Eindhoven is in the lead in innovation and change and is both on a national and international level recognised as one of the most prominent design institutes today. The education stays close to the actuality and reality of the design world: the teachers are themselves renowned designers, who share their professional experience and knowledge with the students of this academy next to their own practice.
