University of Southern California: Search for the Dean

USC Roski School of Art and Design

The Roski School Dean must have an adventurous spirit and openness to the frontiers of art and creativity. Successful candidates will be people of demonstrated accomplishment in their own right. They will be required to engage with eclectic and distinguished constituents within the University and beyond, contributing to and bringing the world back into the classroom and studio. They will have a sophisticated understanding of the global art community and Southern California’s leadership within that community. They will also be able to work closely and collaboratively with USC’s College of Letters, Arts and Sciences and professional schools, as well as the Schools of Architecture, Cinematic Arts, Music, and Theatre. The Dean will be expected to raise the necessary resources to maintain the excellence of the School.
