Assistant Professor of Digital Imaging & Photography
The assistant professor will teach beginning and advanced courses in digital imaging and photography at the undergraduate and graduate levels each academic year. The assistant professor will help shape the future of digital imaging and photography in the Sam Fox School, while maintaining an active program of research and creative activity, participating in student advising and mentoring, and serving on appropriate committees. A Master of Fine Arts degree with teaching experience at the college level and a record of significant professional activity is required. The appointment will begin in fall 2011.

Assistant Professor of New Media
The assistant professor will teach studios and seminars in both the College and Graduate School of Art, and advise graduate students on ideas and practices in evolving technologies and new media. The assistant professor will participate in the development of the curriculum in the Sam Fox School, while maintaining an active program of research and creative activity, participating in student advising and mentoring, and serving on appropriate committees. A Master of Fine Arts degree with teaching experience at the college level and a record of significant professional activity is required. The appointment will begin in fall 2011.

Assistant Professor in Architectural Design
The assistant professor will teach design studio courses at the undergraduate level, as well as seminar, lecture, and/or workshop courses with a focus in one or more of the following areas: representation, history/theory, digital media, or other areas of interest. The assistant professor should be prepared to aid in the development of cross-disciplinary classes, advise undergraduate students, and serve on appropriate committees. A Master of Architecture degree, or an equivalent advanced degree in architecture or a related design discipline, is required. The appointment will begin in fall 2011.

Assistant Professor in Landscape Architecture
The assistant professor will provide graduate-level instruction in landscape architecture design, and teach lecture and seminar courses in at least one of the following areas of expertise: ecology, GIS, planning methods, technology, plants, or history/theory. The assistant professor will be expected to contribute to the development of the Master of Landscape Architecture curriculum, and fulfill responsibilities for creative work and/or research, and administration, including serving on appropriate committees. Candidates should demonstrate creative achievement in landscape design and/or a record of scholarly research showing the promise of national and international recognition in the field; a minimum of a Master of Landscape Architecture or equivalent degree is required. The appointment will begin in fall 2011.
