Action Surf Photography in Rincon, Puerto Rico
Faculty: Art Brewer
March 3–11

Dive into surf culture with an eight-day intensive workshop in Rincon—Puerto Rico’s “Hawaii of the Atlantic”—and learn the specialized skills from some of the leading photographers in the field. Photograph surfing and location/fashion portraiture as it relates to surf culture, with professional surfers as your subjects, you will discover how to capture peak action from both land and water, as you learn about the equipment and techniques unique to surf photography.

Photography in Southern France: Discover the Light of Provence
Faculty: Jean-Marc Veillon, Laurence Minard-Amalou
May 24–June 5

Provence has been an inspiring destination for centuries with its breathtaking landscapes, medieval architecture, cultural delights and the renowned light that makes it a premier location for photographers. This program will help you engage with the rich culture and beauty of southern France and combine your personal vision with refined image-making techniques to create a new body of work.

Shanghai Photography Workshop: Create, Connect, Exchange, Network

June 9–July 7

Shanghai has become an integral hub for Asia’s burgeoning art and photography scene. Its rich history, booming economy and interweaving of Western ideas with Chinese traditions make it the perfect city to explore new photographic possibilities. Participants will engage with the Shanghai art community, learn to integrate Western and Eastern photographic practices and experience the city’s dynamic multicultural and cosmopolitan offerings.

Portrait and Fashion Photography in Barcelona

July 7–17

With its exquisite light and beautiful Mediterranean locale, Barcelona has always been a prime destination for editorial fashion shoots and is often featured as a background for spreads in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and Elle. Enjoy the vibrancy of the city as you develop a professional fashion portfolio in both digital and film camera formats and learn the shooting techniques for first-rate photographs within the studio and on location.
