Sotheby’s Institute of Art’s 6-week custom-curated Online Courses are offered through a clean, simple e-learning interface and are taught by Sotheby’s Institute faculty and leading experts in the field. Online Courses provide an introduction to and a deeper understanding of key art world subjects as well as the opportunity to interact with students from around the world in a truly global learning community. All courses begin on October 8 and registration is recommended by October 1 to participate in online student orientation.

This course offers a comprehensive introduction to contemporary art, surveying all the trends and movements that have shaped the period and tracing how the market for art has kept pace.
