About the Newcastle Institute for Creative Arts Practice
The Newcastle Institute for Creative Arts Practice (NICAP) will launch in the summer of 2013 as the hub for the creative arts at Newcastle University. It will stimulate interaction between creative practitioners and showcase their work, explore ideas and challenge perceived boundaries between academic disciplines.

As creative innovators, our students bring varied international perspectives to creative practice. Our staff are acclaimed artists, composers, performers, film makers, writers, curators, architects, creative entrepreneurs and thinkers.

As a Russell Group civic university much of our creative practice and research has been judged externally as world-leading or internationally excellent.
