CCA also offers various dual-degree options, combining MA and MFA or MBA and MFA.

Rooted in contemporary practice, CCA’s graduate programs provide fertile ground for research, experimentation, and exploration. They encourage interdisciplinary study, theoretical rigor, and deep critical thinking. The curriculum emphasizes the study of contemporary practice and theory, coupled with intensive group and individualized critiques. Students in all programs enjoy access to excellent facilities.

Our graduate students form a strong, interconnected community. Faculty members are active practitioners in their respective fields, connecting students to a wide professional network. Situated in the San Francisco Bay area, one of the world’s most progressive creative and technological centers, students are able to leverage the area’s innovative spirit, making meaningful professional connections that will be of lasting value throughout their careers. Many of the programs enhance their curricular offerings by engaging with outside cultural institutions, companies, organizations, and communities.

Making the cost of graduate study manageable is crucial to CCA’s mission. Financial aid is available to qualified US citizens and permanent residents. Eligible applicants should, in conjunction with their CCA application, file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) starting January 1, 2014. CCA’s federal school code is 001127.

Application requirements differ by program. Find them, along with CCA’s online application, at cca.edu/admissions/grad.
