CAA’s 104th Annual Conference will be held in Washington, DC from Wednesday, February 3 to Saturday, February 6 at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel. Online registration is now open. Highlights of this year’s conference include a keynote address by the internationally acclaimed British architect David Adjaye; the presentation of CAA’s 2016 Awards for Distinction; an opening reception at the Katzen Arts Center at American University; the 16th annual Distinguished Scholar Session honoring Richard J. Powell of Duke University; and two Distinguished Artists’ Interviews with the sculptor Joyce Scott and the photographer LaToya Ruby Frazier (who recently won a MacArthur Foundation fellowship).
CAA members enjoy many of the conference’s career development offerings, including access to the Interview Hall. Mentoring sessions, such as artist portfolio reviews and resume and CV critiques, are now open for enrollment. Complete the Career Development Enrollment Form by December 11, 2015. For a fee, participants can also register for Professional Development Workshops, including “Job Hunt 101: Essential Steps in Securing a Job in the Arts” and “Grant Writing for Artists.”
