Faculty positions

The Cooper Union School of Art seeks applications and nominations for three full-time tenure track faculty positions at the Assistant Professor level in any of the following areas:
– Drawing
– Moving Image and Sound
– Painting
– Performance
– Sculpture

Applicants must have an ability to teach across the disciplines offered in the School of Art, including the Foundation year and pre-requisite courses.

At least five years of college-level studio teaching and national/international recognition are required.  The positions also require a strong commitment to curriculum development, committee work and the mission and legacy of The Cooper Union.

The mission of the School of Art is to educate artists in the broadest sense, both as creative practitioners engaged with a wide range of disciplines in the visual arts and as enlightened citizens of the world who are prepared to question and transform society.
