The College of Arts, Media and Design delivers an outstanding graduate education in traditional areas while exploring new approaches to this generation’s transformative questions. Never have the arts and culture been so clearly essential to the future of social, economic, and environmental issues. From artist outreach in underserved communities to “serious” game design for health and security; from green building innovation to sustainable urban design; from international entertainment and media to provocative performances in “found spaces;” from incisive data visualization to cutting-edge journalism, the College of Arts, Media and Design’s faculty and students pursue a rich variety of academic experiences, creative enterprises, and professional endeavors.

Located in one of world’s premier cities for the arts, media and design, Boston’s rich history and exciting cultural innovations provide a vibrant laboratory for research, teaching and learning. The community is intellectually rich, educationally vibrant, and professionally productive, and the degree options provide a strong foundation of use-inspired, experientially informed coursework and research opportunities. The College’s graduate faculty are leaders in their fields who challenge students to think critically, expand their knowledge through collaborative research and experiential learning, and develop the skills necessary for success in a competitive global economy. CAMD’s programs produce graduates equipped to engage the international marketplace and shape global culture.

Programs include: Master of Architecture (1, 2, and 3 year options), Master of Arts in Journalism—Professional Concentration, Master of Arts in Journalism—Media Innovation Concentration, Master of Design for Sustainable Urban Environments (1 and 2 year options), Master of Fine Arts in Information Design and Visualization, Master of Fine Arts in Interdisciplinary Arts, Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art, Master of Science in Game Science and Design, Master of Science in Music Industry Leadership, Graduate Certificate in Arts Administration, and Graduate Certificate in Game Analytics.
