Bergen Kunsthall is one of Norway’s premier arenas for contemporary art. With a variety that spans large solo exhibitions of international and Norwegian artists to curated group exhibitions and thematic productions, Bergen Kunsthall wishes to reflect the latest trends in the art scene. The institution also actively produces its own projects and is in that way an independent player in the development of contemporary art. Bergen Kunsthall wishes to maintain a varied and continuously up-to-date programme through exhibitions, talks, artist presentations, catalogue publications and a wide range of dissemination activities.

With its three sections - Kunsthallen, Gallery NO.5 and Landmark – Bergen Kunsthall is a flexible art institution that accommodates all directions in a broad range of artistic practice. Our activities include both large-scale exhibitions, small exhibitions in Gallery NO.5, and a wide range of weekly events at Landmark. Its institutional model has made Bergen Kunsthall a very active arena for cultural production and it is today the most important meeting place for innovative culture in Bergen across genre boundaries.
