The Hochschule für Bildende Künste Braunschweig / University of Art is a university with strong international focus and an emphasis on both art and research. The Braunschweig University of Art is one of the largest art academies in Europe.

Dating back to 1842, the HBK is proud of its traditions. Yet at the same time, it is looking forward and orientating itself for the future. We encourage an open and productive exchange between our students, teachers, and professors in all areas of study. Our goal is to combine artistic work, creativity, and research alongside varied curriculums to impart key qualifications that are essential for many jobs today: the ability to think innovatively and the ability to understand, construct, and manage complex problems.
