The ENSBA, which is administered by the municipality of Lyon, and certified by the Ministère de la Culture et de la Communication, is committed to the Bologna Process, whose objective is to favour the mobility of students between educational establishments across Europe. And it has set up exchange programmes with major schools of art and design across the world.
The ENSBA develops the talents of creative individuals. It functions as a laboratory for research and experimentation, and is receptive to all the different realities to be found in contemporary art. It aims to stimulate and nurture the distinctive talents of artists, designers and authors, allowing them to follow a range of different pathways within the broad spectrum of their disciplines, and to attain a high level of professional qualifications.
