This past May, Steven L. Bridges earned Master's degrees in art history, theory & criticism and arts administration & policy at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Currently, Bridges is directing much of his attention and activities towards socially engaged contemporary art and curatorial practices at an international level. Most recently he has been working for the European festival of art, "Exchange Radical Moments!", and also joined the curatorial team of the Shanghai Zendai Museum of Modern Art for their yearlong public arts program Intrude: Art & Life 366 in 2008. Other notable curatorial activities include “Darfur/Darfur,” the Field Museum, Chicago, 2007, and “Artists In Residence, New Installations: Cuba,” Mattress Factory Museum, Pittsburgh, 2004.
