Ron Hunt was born in Bristol 1936 and is a self taught art historian. His principal interest in the Utopian dimension of art; it’s ‘promesse de bonheur’. He has worked in public libraries, national art libraries, art school libraries and as a lecturer. On being made redundant in the latter capacity Hunt took up painting. He then abandoned this and took up photography which he then abandoned and started writing again. He is currently working on a study of Taylorism and its cultural influence. He is anxiously awaiting the appearance of a Marx for the 21st century. He is married to the artist Anna Hunt.
