MaHKU is the working title of the one-year Master programme of the Utrecht Graduate School of Visual Art and Design. MaHKU comprises five disciplines, i.e. Editorial Design, Fashion Design, Fine Art, Interior Design, and Public Space Design.

MaHKU is accredited by the Open University in London. Upon successful completion of the Master programme you earn the internationally acknowledged title of Master of Arts (MA). Check here for information about the accreditation/validation process.

Master programmes in art and design focus on a research-based process of creation. As a Master student, you critically reflect on the boundaries of your discipline through research methodologies, a variety of theoretical discourses, and interdisciplinary activities. But you will also engage in a rich mix of discipline-specific topics and discussions.
