Apply now for the undergraduate courses of study Fine Arts, ART.Education, Performing Arts, Communication Design or Industrial Design at the Braunschweig University of Art (HBK Braunschweig)! Applications are open until 15 March 2013 and go along with the Artistic Admission Procedure at the HBK.

For you this means:
You submit a portfolio with self-made examples of your own work in the original or you present documentation of artistic or creative projects you realized yourself.

We will get to know you personally during the artistic entrance examination and/or during the admission interview/admission examination.

Passing the artistic entrance examination allows you to study the subject of your choice. The university places are not allocated according to the final secondary-school examination grade or a waiting period, but in accordance with the results of the artistic application procedure.

Thus the application procedure at the HBK Braunschweig is in two stages and encompasses for all courses of study the portfolio review that will presumably be completed by late April/early May and the artistic examination, entrance examination or entrance interview that will presumably take place during the months of May and June.

The prerequisite for admission to the artistic entrance examination is the acceptance of the application portfolio by the relevant admissions commission. The total impression of the submitted artworks and those made during the artistic examination or the entrance interview will be evaluated by the relevant admissions commission. Aspects taken under consideration are the pictorial comprehension expressed in the works, capacity of the realization, intensity of the involvement, self-reliance and originality.

Apply now and give us proof of your artistic proficiency! Please find any application-related information and portfolio details for the respective courses of study here.

If you wish to study at the Braunschweig University of Art temporarily as an exchange student, you receive comprehensive information here.
