The Duke University Master of Fine Arts in Experimental and Documentary Arts program is proud to announce its spring thesis exhibition, MFA|EDA 2016.
Featuring site-specific projects by sixteen MFA|EDA graduate students, the exhibition presents a tremendous range of work including presentations of film and video, installation, photography, interactive arts, sculpture, sound and multimedia, across Duke’s campus and downtown Durham, March 25–April 24.
The exhibition continues through March and April with a series of receptions, film premieres, artist-talks and installations at venues including The Carrack Modern Art, SPECTRE Arts, the Fredric Jameson Gallery, the Louise Brown Gallery, Cassilhaus, the Power Plant Gallery and the Full Frame Theater at the American Tobacco Campus.

A unique initiative, the MFA in Experimental and Documentary Arts (MFA|EDA) at Duke University couples experimental visual practice with the documentary arts in a rigorous two-year program. For more than three decades, Duke has demonstrated leadership in documentary arts, film and video, and visual studies. Drawing upon this commitment to the arts, as well as the university’s existing strengths in historical, theoretical and technological scholarship, the MFA|EDA offers a distinct learning environment that sees interdisciplinary education as a benchmark for significant innovation.
